Knowing Truth is the key to freedom and liberty. John 8:32 tell us, “You shall Know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free”. In this passage, the word “Know” means to perceive, understand, to be aware of, be sure and have knowledge. This is powerful, because once you and I have knowledge, understand and perceive truth, we are liberated from fear, doubt, unbelief and other uncertainties that keep us in a state of bondage. The covers are lifted and truth is no longer concealed behind a veil. When liberated we automatically come into realizations and revelations we did not have before. Now, embracing truth is not always an easy thing to do. We have to come face-to-face with some real realities and put away the things that are untrue and keep us bound in our thinking, perceptions and actions. However, you and I can do this. We can let go of the lies that are wide and varied. How do we do this? The answer is in John 8: 31, “…If you aide in My word, you are my disciples indeed.” Abiding in the word is the stipulation to knowing truth. (See John 17:17) As we abide we will not be a slave to sin and we will know the reality of the John 8:36, “Therefore, if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed. My blog encouragement to you is this - 1) Abide in God’s word – John 8:31 2) Know Truth – John 8:32 3) Get Free – John 8:32 4) Give it Away- Freely you have received, freely give. – Matthew 10:8 Comments are closed.
